Electricity in Norway

Norway uses electrical outlets with 220 Volts with two round prong electrical plugs (Type C & F).

If you are bringing electrical appliances from countries that use the same voltage as Norway, all you will need is an adapter for the shape of the plug.

If you are bringing electrical appliances from countries that use a different voltage from Norway, be sure to check the appliances – some of them will support 100 – 240 volts, 50-60 Hz. If so, it is fine to use the electrical appliances. Otherwise, you will need to get a voltage converter so you can use your appliances here in Norway. The converter will reduce the 220 volts from the outlet to provide just 110 volts for the appliance. This is especially relevant if you are bringing appliances from North America and some parts of South America.

You can check here regarding the different countries and the voltage used.
